On the season finale of Family Jewels, Carrot Top started singing Beth and Gene stated, "I hate that song". :roll:

Have you ever notice though that Gene hates just about every song for the band that's a hit that he didn't have a hand in writting?

Even Paul's songs from the 1980's have gotten dissed from Gene..

Also, songs written by Peter and Ace that are better than those Gene writes never end up on KISS albums anymore, case and point HOPE is 10 times better than that I Finally Found My Way thing that Paul wrote and Hope wasn't used.. Eric Carr got very few of his songs used on KISS albums and only sung one on album the whole time he was with the band, yet Rockology shows that Eric could write a great song, many much better than Gene's or Paul's, and many that fit the KISS style of music..

Why Does Gene hate the song Beth? Not because Beth is a bad song.. He hates Beth because it was a hit and he didn't write it.. But then again has Gene ever wrote a major hit for KISS?

Heck, if it wasn't for the song Beth it would have taken KISS at least another year or so to get as famous as they did.. Beth was the only big hit off Destoryer as far as radio goes, I mean around here late at night you might hear something harder from the album, but Beth was an all day every day thing..

Simmons changes his opinion whenever he wants, he is a opportunist & so you will see and hear for sure,
that he will LOVE Beth again, during their Final Live Concert/DVD in a couple off years, not to soon....

You guys are right, but if it goes for Carr and Little Ceasar... that was nothing & totally boring,
but I didn't heard his demos.
