NEW YORK -- Chris Noth will co-star opposite actor-director Carl T. Evans in "Frame of Mind," which centers on a police detective who uncovers a widespread government conspiracy.
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star Noth will play a college professor skeptical of a New Jersey detective's discovery. Production on the indie film is slated to begin in October [ 2006 ] in the Garden State.
In addition to playing the detective and helming the project, Evans is writing and producing it with Charles Kipps, a longtime friend of Noth and executive producer on the 1998 "Law & Order" TV movie "Exiled."
Noth's recent credits include Mark Rosman's "The Perfect Man," Charles Stone III's "Mr. 3000" and the long-running HBO series "Sex and the City."
This is Evans' sophomore film; he wrote and directed last year's drama "Walking on the Sky."
Noth is repped by CAA and Sanders/Armstrong.
