I'm pretty sure the song was written with J. Roberge (same guy who co-wrote Bad Boys) and was from 1982 and was a potential for the Let Me Rock You album. I've heard piano-based and guitar-based versions of it, it reminds me of a Billy Joel song AND the version I hear seem like the pitch has been turned up a step.

Oh, and I was recording a version of it for fun once and I ran it into Don't You Let Me Down until I broke a string.
