Alive II Solo

Postby forpetessake on Tue Sep 11, 2007 9:48 am

Ok so we all know that Alive II is a fake album in that it wasnt a concert recording.

However, that is Peter playing drums and...of course soloing on GOT, right?

At least that is what I always thought. But as I have learned, not everything in KISS is as it seems.

So...where was that solo recorded?

Does anyone know from what show? :pc6

Well, Alive II was recorded live but was over dubbed in the studio to the point where it's not really live in the way a live recording should be, but the samething goes for Alive Bill will tell you himself that the only left that was really live on Alive are peter's drums.. As for Alive II nothing was left untouched in the studio Alive II is all over dubbed, and the live sounds on some of it are added in..

No matter though side 4 is what makes Alive II great for me, those songs are KILLER, those songs kick major ass!!!

Funny. As a drummer I never heard it called a 'train' before.

Anyway, I alsways thought of it as a very slow drum roll that becomes incredibly fast.

We used to work on that in drum corps practice to build up our wrists and forearms.
